We’re different because we understand mechanical and electrical (M&E) engineering as part of the whole building consultancy picture. Our large force of M&E engineers combines specialist knowledge with a practical approach, a commercial outlook and the multi-disciplinary support of the wider Hollis team. Our M&E offering comprises M&E projects, operational engineering and vertical transportation.

M&E projects: astute, informed advice

Clients have been partnering with us for our specialist project support for many years, across a wide range of sectors and on projects ranging from £200,000 to more than £10m. We provide industry-leading technical expertise, strong commercial awareness and a rounded, strategic view. We use 3D design simulation software and Revit ® for precise and pragmatic design advice. We work jointly with our project management team or autonomously, collaborating with other suppliers.

Operational engineering: with you throughout the property lifecycle

We look after existing buildings and their M&E services, supporting you at every stage from acquisition and operation to modernisation and disposal. Through maintenance management we monitor and control a building’s mechanical and electrical systems throughout its life. As independent and commercially minded engineers we understand investors and can guide you in managing diverse operational demands — from keeping buildings operating efficiently and reliably, managing maintenance budgets and CAPEX expenditure, to tenant relations, service charges and compliance.

Vertical transportation: making complexity make sense

Our vertical transportation team provides the independent expertise you need to navigate the complex landscape of products and standards in this sector.
