There’s never been a more exciting time to be an engineer in our industry – when you look around, a large proportion of the buildings that exist today will still be around in 50 years’ time, so as well as constructing shiny new buildings we need to make sure we are enhancing the efficiency and operation of existing buildings. There’s also a wave of young people coming into the industry who have a genuine passion for operational engineering, so I’m looking forward to seeing what the future holds.
