Mechanical and electrical

We’re different because we understand mechanical and electrical engineering as part of the whole building consultancy picture. Our large force of M&E engineers combines specialist knowledge with a practical approach, a commercial outlook and the multi-disciplinary support of the wider Hollis team. Our M&E offering comprises operational engineering M&E projects and vertical transportation.

Operational engineering

  • We look after existing buildings and their M&E services, supporting at every stage from acquisition and operation to modernisation and disposal.

  • Through maintenance management we monitor and control a building’s mechanical and electrical systems throughout its life.

  • As independent and commercially minded engineers we understand investors and can guide you in managing diverse operational demands — from keeping buildings operating sustainably, efficiently and reliably, managing maintenance budgets and CAPEX expenditure, to tenant relations, service charges and compliance.

M&E projects

  • We provide specialist project support across a wide range of sectors, on projects ranging from £20,000 to more than £10m.

  • We’re recognised for our industry-leading technical expertise, strong commercial awareness and rounded, strategic view.

  • We use 3D design simulation software and Revit® for precise, pragmatic and sustainable design advice.

  • We work closely with our project management team or autonomously, collaborating with other suppliers.
