Our industry is a fast-changing, complicated place. The wide-ranging skills and knowledge acquired by building surveyors enables us to meet and collaborate with many construction and property people who have different professional backgrounds and expertise to our own – we’re very lucky in this respect. Our horizons are broad, and that brings many opportunities for building knowledge and experience – as well as facing new challenges! Interaction with as many people as possible is key to developing well-rounded teams who are then capable of delivering both a high-quality and comprehensive service. And in my case, my work allows me to use my surveying skills and legal knowledge in numerous situations, so every day can be unique and exciting.
