The annual Malcolm Hollis Golf Day took place on 25 September 2018 at Woburn Golf Club in The Marquess course, which shortly after opening hosted the first of two British Masters and the English Amateur Championship in 2011. Since 2014 it has been one of four courses in the country to stage the Final Qualifying for The Open Championship.
There were 46 players in attendance, including representatives from M&G Real Estate, V7 Asset Management, CBRE Global Investors, Network Space, SEGRO, Telereal Trillium, Canmoor Asset Management, The Royal Bank of Scotland, London & Cambridge Properties, LaSalle Investment Management and more.
The overall individual prize went to James McLaughlin of IO Asset Management who scored 36 points. The winning team consisted of Will Kelly of Legal & General Investment Management and Hugh Mackay of Quadrant Estate who also won the nearest pin competition, along with Malcolm Hollis golfers Anthony Orchin and Mike Miller. Mike was having a fantastic golfing day and also walked away with the prize for the longest drive.
The Bart Woolhouse Memorial trophy went to our Senior Associate Chris Mann, who achieved 32 points. The orange ball competition proved a bit difficult, with only 2 teams out of 14 returning with their ball. The prize went to Michael Jones of Edgemoor Estates, Matthew Reith of Hansteen Holdings and Chris Mann.
Last but not least, our Associate and LandAid Ambassador Jamie Pilborough organised a second nearest pin competition to raise funds for LandAid. A donation of £10 was required to take part and Woburn Golf Club kindly donated a 4 ball at any of their four courses as a prize. We’re pleased to say that we raised £330 in total and Richard Allen of London & Cambridge Properties was the winner!
