Malcolm Hollis has appointed Roland Verniers as Partner of our new office in Amsterdam, which officially opened on 1 August 2016.
Roland joins Malcolm Hollis from Turner and Townsend in Amsterdam where he was Associate Director. He brings a wealth of experience and local contacts, which will assist in growing our new operation in Amsterdam.
Roland specialises in project management and technical advisory in mainland Europe and has worked on a range of projects in the Netherlands over the past 13 years. These include Brabo 2 Noorderlijn Antwerpen, A12 Motorway, refurbishment of the Rijnstraat 8 government building, National Military Museum, National Institute for Health and the Environment (RIVM), the Medicines Evaluation Board (MEB) and College ter Beoordeling van Geneesmiddelen (CBG), Gemeentehuis Westland, and Generator Hostels Amsterdam.
The opening of an office in Amsterdam takes our network to 19 offices throughout the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe. The Amsterdam office will cover the Benelux (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg) region as well as the wider European mainland. The office will cater for our existing clients who are operating in mainland Europe as well as local clients, offering services that can be adopted in all phases of a commercial property assets life cycle, such as business case development, design, construction, maintenance, operations and hand back or end-of-life.
The new Amsterdam office is situated in the Spaces Zuidas offices, in the favourable South Axis district of the city, just a ten minute walk from the Amsterdam Zuid/WTC train station. Car parking is available as are spaces for bicycles.

He is very experienced in the Netherlands and mainland European property market and has an impressive book of contacts. This is our second office in mainland Europe, following our Madrid office which opened on 1 September 2015. We continue with plans to open more offices as part of our European expansion drive.
