Hollis is pleased to announce 51 promotions across the business, as of 01 May 2023.
We are delighted to have made 51 promotions across our offices in the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe, including six employees to Director level.
These promotions are a recognition of the hard work and commitment our employees have shown to our clients, to growing Hollis as a business, and to their own professional development. They also demonstrate our ongoing commitment to forging pathways for progression for all our staff.
Speaking of the promotions, Chairman John Woodman said: “People are at the heart of our business, and we are dedicated to creating opportunities for them. Meet our six new Directors…
Barry Stevens, Ben Murphy, Elliott Lockyer, Jeremy Riney, Matt Briggs and Stuart Patience. Find out a bit more about them below:
Barry Stevens
With over 24 years of experience as a quantity surveyor, Barry heads up our cost management team in London after joining in 2020. Working across a variety of sectors, Barry specialises in residential, retail, commercial and infrastructure including water and rail for clients such as AXA Real Estate and City of London. A trusted expert, Barry has looked after numerous instructions up to £65 million.
Ben Murphy
Based in our Manchester office, Ben joined Hollis in 2015 as a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor and has over 15 years of experience in the industry. Specialising in development monitoring on behalf of a range of banks, funds and other lenders, Ben has developed relationships with key clients such as Deutsche Bank, Tritax and Royal London Asset Management.
Elliott Lockyer
Since joining in 2017, Elliott has risen through the ranks from Senior Health & Safety and CDM Consultant to the head of our growing health and safety service. Specialising in CDM, Elliott is responsible for the delivery of principal designer and CDM advisor services. Elliott has experience in all types of projects across a variety of sectors including office, residential and industrial. Elliott also plays a key role in the continuous development of our Ashford office.
Jeremy Riney
Joining in March 2020 as a Consultant, Jeremy has excelled at Hollis rising year on year to his position now as a Director. Jeremy has over 10 years industry experience, from developer side project management, mixed-use expertise in acquisition TDD, planning and permitting, construction and final handover. Jeremy is also head of our Berlin office and has been instrumental in forging relationships across Germany simultaneously building our European presence.
Matt Briggs
Matt joined Hollis in 2020 as a Senior Associate and shortly after became head of our party walls and neighbourly matters service. As a renowned neighbourly matters expert, Matt has worked on many commissions from local authorities and central government to hotel groups and commercial investors. Matt was also involved in the significant Prime London Holdings 11 Ltd v Thurloe Lodge Ltd [2022] case that set new case law regarding what is and isn’t allowed under the Access to Neighbouring Land Act 1992.
Stuart Patience
An experienced real estate professional with over 15 years spent working in the solar industry, Stuart is Head of solar PV and our energy and utilities sector. Since joining in 2021, Stuart has been instrumental in developing the firm’s Solar PV service providing strategic advice focused on clients’ ESG goals and aspirations. His works ranges from designing, planning and developing PV projects for developments, whether that be an initial feasibility report, remote desktop assessment or project managing an installation. Stuart has grown solar PV installations on industrial projects by 720% YoY.
We have also made a number of promotions across our excellent operational support teams who we depend upon to make everything work together; from the audit and compliance, business development and business support teams, to digital transformation, facilities, finance, and people and culture.
