Hollis forms AI Steering Group

We've formed an AI Steering Group at Hollis - bringing leaders and surveyors together from across the business to guide how we adopt AI responsibly and well, chaired by our COO James Audsley.

AI is reshaping how we work, and we're clear that the right approach balances opportunity with responsibility. This group exists to make sure we do both: move decisively where AI adds genuine value, while putting the right guardrails in place from the start.

And we're not starting from a blank page. We're already using Microsoft Copilot and Cowork day to day - but we're not just consuming AI, we're building it. Our in-house AI developer is building our own AI agents to deliver use cases bespoke to Hollis: tailored to how we survey, manage, and advise on property assets, not generic tools bolted on.

Doing this in-house is deliberate. It gives us real control over data security, quality, and responsible use - and it means we can innovate at pace and stay responsible at the same time.

The Steering Group's remit is simple but important:

Set the direction for AI adoption, aligned to our wider digital transformation and business strategy 

• Prioritise the initiatives that matter — focusing our effort and investment where they deliver the greatest value
• Establish governance and guardrails — covering data security, ethics, compliance and responsible use - so we innovate with confidence
• Champion adoption across our teams — building the skills and culture to make AI work for our people and our clients
• What encourages me most is the breadth of voices around the table. Responsible AI isn't a technology problem to be solved in a corner - it's a business-wide commitment, and that's exactly how we're approaching it.
