Our initial involvement with River House was in undertaking a pre-acquisition survey with input from our M&E engineers which included a reinstatement cost assessment. Following our client’s purchase of the building, we were instructed to act as project manager on the refurbishment of the 80,000 sq ft property to provide a mixture of co-working space and private offices. Completed in October 2018, it provides the only Grade A serviced office facility in the city’s Cathedral Quarter.

In addition to premium office space, River House offers state-of-the-art meeting rooms, a comfortable lounge, an extensive landscaped rooftop terrace, an on-site café, informal breakout zones and multiple high-speed data networks.

Through careful control during the construction phase, much-improved thermal performance, air-tightness and energy efficiency enhancements through significant services upgrades, the building’s sustainability credentials have been significantly boosted. It now has an EPC rating of B46 and is BREEAM Very Good.
