We are expanding our presence in Germany with the opening of a second office, this time in Berlin.

Building on the successful opening of our Munich office in July, the Berlin office will be headed up by Partner Edward Pittar and will be the firm’s fourth in mainland Europe, alongside Madrid and Amsterdam.

Edward, who is originally from Australia, has been working in Eastern Europe and Berlin for more than 20 years and has a proven track record in all aspects of commercial building surveying, principally in the corporate real estate environment, specialising in project management, as well as technical due diligence and building surveying. His previous roles include Head of Project and Building Consultancy at DTZ Zadelhoff Tie Leung and Head of Project and Development Services for Central and Eastern Europe at JLL.

Edward’s experience comprises working with several occupier clients including Facebook, Twitter, and Adobe, all of which will greatly benefit the firm’s proposition in Germany.

Commenting on the opening and further plans for expansion, Jamie O’Brien, Partner responsible for Europe at Malcolm Hollis, says: “Berlin has a rapidly growing market with a strong economy and the city presents some real opportunities for us as a business to grow our core services, both with new and existing clients.

“We believe having a presence in Berlin and Munich not only enables us to work more closely with clients and provide an improved offering on the ground, but also positions us well to take advantage of the opportunities that exist in Germany and across mainland Europe, where we continue with our plans for further expansion.”

“We are delighted to have someone of Edward´s experience and skill to head up the office in Berlin, working closely with our team in Munich, we are perfectly positioned to service our clients across Germany.

Edward commented: “The Berlin market is currently buoyant across a number of sectors. The vast range of services Malcolm Hollis offers along with our geographical presence in Germany allows us to capitalise on the opportunities that exist.”

The Berlin office is located at Kurfürstendamm 195, 3rd Floor Berlin, 10707 Germany.
